Officer Training Corp
The Army JROTC program aims to motivate young people to become leaders of tomorrow while fostering better American citizens. Through motivation, leadership, character, teamwork, physical fitness & health, and essential life skills, the program equips Cadets with the knowledge of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens. It provides instruction and opportunities that benefit the student, community, and nation, guiding them toward becoming successful lifelong learners. At its core, the program’s mission is "To Motivate Young People to Be Better Citizens."
Auburn High School (AHS) Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is a four-year program established through a partnership between the U.S. Army and Auburn City Schools. It provides students (Cadets) with opportunities to develop leadership skills, embrace ethical values, and cultivate the principles of good citizenship. Through interactive classroom instruction, hands-on training, community service, and leadership development, the program prepares Cadets to become responsible and principled leaders while working toward their high school diploma and post-secondary school or careers.
